Kevin Lynch is a former member of the Charlottesville City Council who remains active in area public affairs.

Biography
Lynch was born on June 5, 1962 in Alexandria, Virginia. He came to Charlottesville in 1980 to attend the University of Virginia, where he received a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineeering.
Lynch worked for GE-Fanuc before leaving to become an independent contractor. He was first elected to City Council in 2000[1].
Public service
Lynch served as the president of the Federation of Neighborhoods (1998-1999) and president of the Martha Jefferson Neighborhood Association (1996-1997). Lynch was also a founding member of Sensible Transportation Alternatives to the Meadowcreek Parkway.
