David Slutzky (D) is a former member of to the [[Albemarle County Board of Supervisors]] on November 8, 2005. He was defeated in his re-election campaign by Republican [[Rodney Thomas]] on November 3, 2009.

Slutzky is the president of consulting firm [http://www.e2inc.com/ E2 Inc.] and an Adjunct Professor in the [http://www.arch.virginia.edu/planning/ Department of Urban and Environmental Planning] at the [[University of Virginia]]

Slutzky's previous experience includes time in federal government. He held the post of Senior Policy Advisor and founding Director of the Urban Initiative, at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. He also served as Senior Policy Advisor and Coordinator of the International Task Force of the President's Council on Sustainable Development, at the White House in Washington, D.C. during the Clinton Administration.

He holds a B.A. in Political Philosophy at University of Chicago, and a J.D. from Kent College of Law at the University of Chicago, in the Program in Environmental and Energy Law. He also completed coursework towards a PhD in Political Philosophy from the University of Chicago.<ref name="candidate"/>
