Christopher Erskine Lee, (June 27, 1966December 4, 2015) (49) was the CEO of R.E. Lee Companies in Charlottesville.


Biography

Born in Charlottesville, he was the son of Frances J. Lee-Vandell, Robert E. Lee, Jr. and his wife, Barbara Hough Lee. Christopher graduated from Woodberry Forest School in 1984 and Cornell University in 1988. He was the fourth generation of his family to work for R.E. Lee Companies in Charlottesville rising from laborer to CEO.

Lee volunteered for several groups including the United Way-Thomas Jefferson Area and the Shenandoah chapter of the American Red Cross. He is a past Board Chair of the Associated General Contractors of Virginia and of the Charlottesville Rgional Chamber of Commerce. [1]


In 2016, the Chamber rededicated its Small Business Person of the Year Award in his honor.
