A.E. Dick Howard is a constitutional law scholar at the University of Virginia School of Law.
Biography
Howard was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia and graduated from the University of Richmond. He received his law degree from the University of Virginia and then clerked for Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black[1]. Howard helped oversee the revision of the Virginia constitution in 1970.[1]
Howard has written many of books including the Road from Runnymede: Magna Carta and Constitutionalism in America and Commentaries on the Constitution of Virginia, which won a Phi Beta Kappa prize.[1]
In 1995, Howard was selected as one of the distinguished dozen award given by the Daily Progress[2].
