Zan Tewksbury is the former director of Charlottesville's Human Rights Commission. She was hired in October 2013 with a salary of $72,000 and stepped down in May 2015. [1]

Biography
Tewksbury was born in Lowell, Massachusetts. and then moved around the country. She spent her secondary school years in the Charlottesville/Albemarle area. Before moving to Charlottesville as an adult, she was a civil rights lawyer in Portland, Oregon. [2]
