Vinegar Hill Theater
Vinegar Hill Theater is an independent movie theater in downtown Charlottesville.

Opened in 1976 by Chief Gordon and Ann Porotti as a classic movie venue, the theater was purchased from Porotti in 2008 by Adam Greenbaum of Visualite Cinemas in Staunton. It currently[when?] shows domestic and international films and participates in the Virginia Film Festival and the Virginia Film Society.
