The Blue Ridge Health District (BRHD) provides public health services and programs to protect and promote community health through health departments in Charlottesville and Albemarle County, and the surrounding counties of Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson. The name was changed from the Thomas Jefferson Health Distric (TJHD) at the beginning of 2021.

The City of Charlottesville and Albemarle co-own the headquarters on Rose Hill Drive, but the city is the fiscal agent. [1]

The Daily Progress honored staff with a placement on the Distinguished Dozen for 2020. [2]
