Origin? Same as CVG, or merged?

This isn't very clear; it says it was "formerly known as" two different organizations. If it is the same group, just renamed, the articles should be merged -- if it is the result of a merger of the two organizations, that should be added to the article. However, both websites are active, and it seems they have a separate identity. What's going on here? B.S. Lawrence 21:37, 2 July 2009 (EDT)
