2011 election for City Council
McIntosh announced that he would seek the Democratic nomination for Charlottesville City Council on May 25, 2011.[4] A month later, on June 16th, McIntosh announced that he would drop out the race for council. In an interview with the Daily Progress, he endorsed Democratic incumbent Satyendra Huja, as well as Democrats Kathleen M. Galvin and Paul Beyer.[5]
