Jim Northup is the superintendent of Shenandoah National Park and Cedar Creek and Belle Grove National Historical Park. Northup was named to the post in January 2013.
Prior to this post, Northup served as Superintendent of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and Chief Ranger at Great Smoky Mountains National Park. His time in the National Park Service has also sent him to Grand Teton, Big Bend, and Grand Canyon National Parks, Cape Hatteras and Fire Island National Seashores, and Buffalo National River[1].
