Jesse Turner

Dr. Jesse J. Turner is a veteran administrator who has worked in both the Albemarle and Charlottesville school systems. He will become the Director of Students Services in Albemarle County beginning in the summer of 2021. [1] [2]

Turner has served as principals of Monticello High School, Albemarle High School, and Buford Middle School.

Biography

Turner is a graduate of Charlottesville High School. After high school he received his bachelor's degree from the Virginia Union University, his Master's from the University of Virginia, and a Ph.D. from Virginia State University.

Before becoming principal of MHS, Turner was a teacher at the Henry Avenue Learning Center and an assistant principal at Albemarle High School. He served as principal of Monticello High School from 2012 to 2017.[3]

He began his time at Buford Middle School on July 1, 2019. [4]
