Henry Merwin Shrady (1871-1922) was a sculptor responsible for the creation of the Robert E. Lee Statue in Emancipation Park. He also created a monument to Ulysses S. Grant in Washington, D.C.

Shrady's nephew, Edward Bergen Fry, is one of the plaintiffs in a lawsuit filed in March 2017 to prevent removal of the Lee statue. [1]
