Hauntings on the Hill is an annual charity event held by Brown College at the University of Virginia. The event is held in late October as a celebration of Halloween. It is open to Charlottesville residents as well as University of Virginia students. In 2022, the entrance fee was $5 for students and residents alike. All proceeds are donated to a charity of Brown College’s choosing each year.[1]

The event was first held in 1988. The haunted house tradition has grown to include an oversight committee, which chooses a theme each year. Hauntings on the Hill now raises over $5,000 from entry fees.[2]

In 2017, a summer camp at Computers4Kids helped design features for the program. [3]
