Douglas Walker

Douglas Walker is a former Deputy County Executive in Albemarle County. He briefly served as interim Albemarle County executive following the resignation of Tom Foley. [1] He served for several months before Jeffrey Richardson was selected to replace Foley.

Walker was named as as Assistant County Executive for Community Services on April 1, 2013. He replaced Bryan Elliott, who retired in late 2012. [2]

He retired in 2023 effective August 1. [3]

Prior to being named to his Albemarle post, Walker was county administrator in Shenandoah County and has also served as city manager in Waynesboro. [2]
