Charlottesville Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a local martial arts school that educates and trains adults and children in the art, sport and self-defense aspects of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as well as Muay Thai kickboxing and Israeli Krav Maga. The school is located in McIntire Plaza and has won CVille Weekly's "Best of" Martial arts school category in 2015 and 2016. [1]

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Gordon Emery is the chief director and main BJJ instructor and was nominated as best martial arts instructor of the year in 2012 and 2013. They offer multiple class times throughout the week as well as specialized courses and workshops throughout the year taught by qualified and professional instructors.
