The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank provides food to those in need in western and central Virginia. The food bank serves 25 counties and 9 cities including Charlottesville and Albemarle County. The organization was founded in 1981, and serves about 92,000 people a year[1].

Mission

"To reduce hunger through programs and partnerships which efficiently obtain and distribute nutritious food and other products to people in need."
