Blake Caravati is the owner of Vector Construction and serves on the board of Piedmont Council for the Arts and Offender Aid and Restoration. [1].
Caravati served on City Council from 1999 to 2006 and was Mayor of Charlottesville from 2000 to 2002.

Arrest
On September 9, 2011 Caravati was arrested on a charge of misdemeanor assault against his wife.[1][2] Ron Morris, the Commonwealth's Attorney in Greene County, was appointed as a special prosecutor. [3] Caravati appeared in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on October 21, 2011 and was ordered to undergo nine months of counseling. [4]
Meadowcreek Parkway
Caravati has described himself as the "swing vote" on the Meadowcreek Parkway[5].
"I had campaigned against it-- then changed my mind as an elected official," Caravati said.
