Bernard Hairston

Bernard Hairston served as principal of Burley Middle School from 1997 to 2006. He currently serves as the executive director of the Office of Community Engagement for Albemarle County Public Schools.[1] In that role, Hairston has led the division's Culturally Responsive Teaching certification program.[2] Hairston is also the president of 100 Black Men of Central Virginia, an organization which mentors young black men.[3]
