Capacity and future demand
The firm AECOM has projected that Crozet will have a water demand of 0.69 million gallons a day (MGD) in the year 2035 and a demand of 0.98 mgd in the year 2060. AECOM also found that the demand in 2010 was 0.37 mgd. That figure is based on a current population of 5,562. [1]

"Named in honor of Charles Mercer Garnett, Sr. Public citizen whose efforts resulted in Albemarle County being the first county to have the County Executive form of government in 1933 and who piloted soil conservation practices in Albemarle County of which this dam is one example."
