Apex Clean Energy

Apex Clean Energy is a Charlottesville-based company.

In late October, they filed an application for a special use permit in Botetourt County for a wind farm. [1] The filed a more detailed application with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality in May 2016. [2]

The company announced they would open a new headquarters in downtown Charlottesville. The project will be developed by Riverbend Development. [3] Construction is set to begin in 2018 and take two years to complete.
