Healthcare

In 2012, the Albemarle County Republican Committee issued a press release condemning the 2012 Supreme Court Ruling that upheld the Obama Administration's healthcare mandate. From the statement:

"The Supreme Court of the United States upheld the Administration’s Health Care Law, which threatens the integrity of American values! This monumental decision additionally jeopardizes the United States Constitution’s original intent of limited government. The Administration’s continual attempts to expand government’s role in our lives has reached its’ most dangerous level. Now more than ever the American People must stand up and defend the principles of liberty and freedom. With the Court’s decision made, the real work begins to determine the future of the United States. It is more important than ever to support the Republican Candidates running for office in November. Their wise, conservative leadership is critical."[2]
