Monticello Area Community Action Agency

The Monticello Area Community Action Agency works to eradicate poverty in our community and help local families. It is an umbrella agency for several social service groups. It was founded in 1964. [1]

Future of MACAA

In 2017, MACAA worked with New Millennium Senior Living on a proposal to sell the land and build an assisted living center. Council voted to deny the rezoning on November 20, 2017. [2]

Council funding

On January 18, 1978, Council voted to appropriate $12,500 to help MACAA assist people with for their heat bills [3]
