The Charlottesville Market District Alliance is a non-profit advocacy group established in fall 2011 to campaign for redeveloping the Charlottesville City Market at its existing location. [1]

Background

The group was formed in the wake of a City Council-appointed task force on the future of the market. That group recommended that the market remain in its existing location as part of a mixed-use "market district." [2]
